A few months ago I registered my own business name, B Strength, and started accepting online personal training clients and offering in-home personal training services. Suddenly, I was in the market for business cards, t-shirts, professional pictures, and many other marketing and website-related materials. Because I’m bootstrapping this whole thing, it’s even more important than ever for me to take things one step at a time.
First on my list were business cards and, to be honest, I had no idea where to start. Going to a local company can be really expensive, and you never quite know what you are going to get online. I was confused about where to start and worried about spending the money, so I kind of put everything off. Then, a representative from BuildASign.com contacted me about exchanging product for a blog review. Talk about perfect timing.
BuildASign.com offers everything from business cards to yard signs, bumper stickers, banners, and more. I decided to check the first item off my BStrength to-do list and ordered 250 business cards.
The design and ordering process could not have been easier. They offer a variety of templates that are all customizable and a “start from scratch” option for those of you more creatively inclined. Since I have no design skills whatsoever, I took advantage of one of the customizable, small business templates.
The process could not have been easier or more self-explanatory and for someone like me, with little creative instincts, simplicity and clarity are really important for something like this. I was able to upload my own logo with no problem and sample multiple fonts, colors, and designs with ease.
Delivery and Customer Service
Luckily, I didn’t need to contact customer service, so I don’t have any feedback for you on that end. I will say though that the representative I worked with was very quick about getting back to me and very helpful throughout the process. Also, the customer service number is posted on the front page in big, bold letters. Don’t you hate when you need to contact customer service and can’t find the number, or they don’t offer one and make you go through email? BuildASign.com definitely encourages you to contact them at any point throughout your design/shopping experience.
Immediately after my order was placed I received a confirmation email/receipt with instructions about shipping and delivery, including a “deliver by” date. When my order shipped I received a tracking number and the product was delivered in about a week, before the “deliver by” date.
I LOVE my business cards!!! The size, thickness, and gloss are absolutely perfect and the quality is top-tier. Check out the final product……
