Marvelous In My Monday

Why do people dread Monday? Monday is not a day to dread. Instead, it is a day to celebrate the start of another week and another opportunity to grow and improve!

Thank you, Katie for reminding me to be Marvelous In My Monday.

Here’s how:

  • I rocked a short but sweet leg workout
    -leg press: 4 sets of 12, feet together
    -lying leg curl: 3 sets of 12
    -dumbbell deadlifts: 3 sets of 12
    -slow incline walk: 10 minutes

  • My first day of Carb Cying went off without a hitch. It was definitely smart to start off on a HIGH carb day – lol. Check back on day 3 – no carb day – to really test my commitment ; )
    -post workout: 1/2 cup of oatmeal, vanilla protein powder, a handful of blueberries
    -morning snack: 1 slice of cinnamon raisin Ezekiel bread and 3/4 cup (liquid measure) of egg whites.
    -lunch: 1/2 cheese sandwich with a huge salad and pineapple slices
    -afternoon snack: 1/2 cup brown rice, 1/4 cup edamame, 1 turkey burger with fiesta lime seasoning.
    -dinner:  1.75 oz top round steak with onions, carrots, and 1 cup sweet potatoes with cinnamon
  • I made it to hot yoga after word and like always it was amazing. Why did I ever fight going? It was difficult to hold a lot of the poses since I did legs in the am but I worked through it.

I found that on Pinterest and thought it was so funny – and true!  It’s crazy how disheveled and sweaty I am after practice.  Whoever said yoga was boring has never done hot power yoga, that’s for sure!
