Are you aware of your personal power? Do you tap into it, nuture it, and respect it, or do you ignore it and doubt it?
Do you know that you have a say in your destiny and control over your circumstances? Or do you place blame on others and leave your future to chance?
Most of the time I’m very aware of and confident in my own personal power. It’s something my dad instilled in me from a very young age. Still, I have moments where I experience doubt and fear.
I was going through one of those down periods a few weeks ago. I was feeling really stuck in my circumstances and struggling with whether or not I was capable of pursuing my goals or even “meant” to achieve them. It was during one of these “down” days that I stumbled upon an article that practically jumped out of the screen and shook me back to my senses. I love it when that happens.
Personal power is what permits us to work on behalf of our dreams and desires. It allows us to realize that we are worthy and deserve to be heard. In addition, our personal power lets us extend the respect we know that we deserve to the people around us. There is no reason to be afraid or ashamed of fully owning your power…….Another way to nurture your personal power is to honor your dreams and desires by making concrete plans to manifest them in the world. Start by making a list of things you want, and let yourself think big. Choose one goal from the list and commit to bringing it to fruition. In addition, break the goal into tasks that you can work on each day. Know that you deserve to have your dreams come true and that you have the power to bring them into being.
These words hit me hard. Of course I am capable of achieving whatever goals I set, and so are you. I made concrete plans for achieving my goals right then and there with action steps, deadlines, and checkpoints. These goals will take time, work, focus, and faith in my personal power, but they are possible and I am in control of them.
If you are struggling with self-doubt and uncertainty about your future, tap into your own personal power by setting goals, creating a plan, and going after them one step at a time.
